Toussaint Werner is an award-winning illustrator and graphic artist whose design goals are to intersect consumer brands and community. As founder and principal of Calumet Creative design Agency, his creative direction has been highly-sought by major brands and clients looking to fortify their brand through urban appeal. With more than 15 years of graphic design experience, Toussaint was recognized in 2010 as a “designer to look out for” by Creative Communications. Since that time, a Hip-Hop influenced approach has garnered Toussaint critical acclaim and accolades including McDonald’s My Block Innovator Award (2014); Emmy Graphics Advertising (2014); and American Institute Graphic Artists (2011) among others.
Toussaint’s creative genius has defined campaigns for clients such as Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Teachers Union , Nike , President Obama , and University of Chicago.
His career fuels his passion for community development and enrichment. He draws inspiration away from the desk. In his spare time, Toussaint coaches youth basketball and football. A natural-born knowledge seeker, his reading list is expansive. On basketball court is where he unwinds most often, but “daddy-time” hanging with his two beautiful children is where all the magic happens.
